Saving time was the winning argument that persuaded the Northeast Anthony Henday Drive’s client to choose a PPP solution. Thanks to this partnership with private business, this infrastructure project was completed three years earlier than would have been the case with a conventional model. The starter shot for the project was financial close which the consortium around HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions North America and ACS reached in May 2012. The partners will design, build, operate and partially finance the section of beltway around the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. The contract has a total value of EUR 1.39 billion making it the biggest PPP road project that Alberta Province has awarded to date.
